Deepen Your Twists

Why do we hold yoga poses for several breaths? Because every breath is an opportunity to deepen your practice!

This is especially literal when twisting. In any kind of twist: seated, reclined, crescent, balancing…remember the following:

INHALE: lengthen your spine
EXHALE: deepen your twist

It might seem like the tiniest of differences, but these micro-movements add up over each breath, and over each practice. Move gently, move slowly, but use your breath to deepen your twists!
